Job summary

Fisk Electric Co., a Tutor Perini Company, seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk III to join our Houston office. You will manage AP processing for multiple construction projects, review cost postings, verify vendor compliance, and prepare weekly disbursements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounting, strong communication, and solid computer/kb skills; construction accounting exposure is a plus. This role supports project managers and requires accuracy, organization, and the ability to handle

Qualifications

• Two years of advanced business/accounting education preferred.
• 3+ years experience in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
• Basic understanding of construction accounting processes is a plus.
• Proficient keyboarding and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete scope of project payable accounting from inception through job close-out for multiple construction projects.
• Accurately review and post job cost and committed cost for vendors to enable timely project reporting.
• Verify vendor/subcontractor compliance items (insurance, W-9, etc.) before issuing checks.
• Prepare and balance weekly disbursements for check processing.
• Maintain accurate files and timely reporting.
• Scan, post and route invoices in Fisk’s imaging system.
• Develop knowledge of accounting software used to complete functions.
• Share knowledge and mentor RAC associates in AP processes.
• Build relationships with supervisors, co-workers and subcontractors/vendors.
