Position Description

Origis Energy is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our diverse and growing team headquartered in Miami’s Brickell Financial District. The ideal candidate, reporting to our Director Accounts Payable, will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties. You will support our business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, expenses as well as updating our accounting database. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience.

The position of Accounts Payable Analyst is a regular, full-time position, and is eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, open and scan invoices on a daily basis
  • Responsible for data entry of Accounts Payable vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, appropriate expense, location and department coding
  • Follow-up on invoice approvals to ensure timely processing and payment to vendor invoices
  • Handle all vendor correspondence via phone or email
  • Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices
  • Answer AP related questions back to internal and external employees or vendors
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Providing assistance with various bank and check register reconciliations
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Support external and internal audits as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with major in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of full-cycle A/P experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience in construction / project-oriented operating environment would be an asset
  • Renewable Energy experience would be an asset
