Job summary

Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is seeking an Accountant III to own supplier-to-payment accounting across multiple entities. You will work with Workday, supplier portals, and automated close and reconciliation tools to apply judgment to exceptions and improve workflows.

You will build and review journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany activity while supporting audits and internal controls. This is a senior individual-contributor role in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of accounts payable experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Comfort analyzing data in Excel and using reports to explain numbers.
• Strong written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Process, review and approve supplier invoices and invoice requests in Workday, matching to POs and contracts where applicable.
• Resolve invoice exceptions, holds and coding errors; decide on corrections or escalation.
• Prepare and review supplier payments with correct entity, bank account, timing and approvals.
• Partner with Procurement on supplier onboarding and banking information verification.
• Respond to supplier and internal inquiries with clear, accurate answers.
• Prepare and post journal entries; record accruals for goods/services not yet invoiced.
