Job summary

Synergy Business Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst to own the AP function end-to-end in a growing manufacturing/food production organization. You will manage high-volume invoice processing, vendor relationships, and month-end close.

You will mentor junior staff, drive process automation, and partner with ERP upgrades to optimize accuracy and efficiency across the Accounts Payable lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive AP/Accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• ERP experience with major systems (Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query).
• Manufacturing/food production industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify high-volume vendor invoices (ACH, wire, check).
• Manage AP aging, resolve discrepancies and PO mismatches.
• Perform monthly GL reconciliations, AP accruals, and close support.
• Own vendor onboarding and vendor relationship management.
• Support 1099 reporting and audit requests.
• Identify automation opportunities and lead ERP enhancement projects.
• Mentor AP Specialists and build reporting dashboards.

What you'll do

• Process and verify high-volume vendor invoices (ACH, wire, check), ensuring accuracy, coding, and policy compliance
• Manage AP aging, resolve discrepancies and PO mismatches
• Perform monthly GL reconciliations, AP accruals, and support month/quarter/year-end close
• Own vendor onboarding (W-9s, tax docs) and vendor relationship management
• Support annual 1099 reporting and audit requests
• Identify automation opportunities and lead ERP enhancement projects
• Mentor AP Specialists and build reporting dashboards

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• 5+ years progressive AP/Accounting experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge
