Job summary

Student Choice is seeking an Accounting Specialist – Senior to join the finance team in the San Antonio area, with the option to work from home. The role covers cash, funding, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and expense reimbursements, ensuring accurate records and adherence to internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Sage Intacct and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/financial reporting tools; Sage Intacct preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post all prior day transactions from the bank account to the general ledger, validating with documentation.
• Monitor daily cash balances and inform accounting leadership when liquidity is low.
• Process student funding related files daily and verify data accuracy.
• Prepare client billing accruals and reconcile monthly between billing system and GL.
