Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior – Accounting Methods to join our Federal Tax Strategies team in California. You will consult on accounting methods issues, conduct research, and assist with client interviews, data reviews, calculations, and form filings.

Collaborate with leaders across the Firm and mentor staff to grow skills and careers. The role emphasizes integrity, urgency, and results-orientation in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2 years of relevant experience.
CPA exam eligibility preferred.
Experience in business services, public accounting or consulting preferred.
Experience in accounting methods preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access).

Responsibilities

Consult on accounting methods-related issues including automatic and non-automatic methods changes.
Conduct research related to accounting methods tax issues.
Participate in accounting methods projects with client data review and filings.
Collaborate with managers, directors and principals across the Firm.
Coach or mentor staff to develop skills and careers.
Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously in a reliable manner.
