Job summary

CLA, a top national professional services firm, is seeking a Senior – Accounting Methods to join our Federal Tax Strategies team in Dallas. The role focuses on tax strategies related to timing and character of income, expense, capitalization, and cost recovery, and involves client interviews, data reviews, and filings.

You will collaborate with managers and principals, mentor staff, and contribute to multiple projects with urgency and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• CPA exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult on accounting methods-related issues including methods changes, recognition, capitalization, cost recovery and periods.
• Conduct research related to accounting methods tax issues to expand knowledge base.
• Participate in accounting methods projects: client interviews, data review, calculations, analysis, and filings.
• Collaborate with managers, directors and principals across the Firm.
• Coach or mentor staff to develop skills and careers.
• Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with reliability.
