Job summary

Atrium is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for the communities we manage across multiple states. You will oversee payables, receivables, and monthly closes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with governing documents.

You will serve as a financial partner to property managers, association boards, auditors, and leadership, mentoring staff and strengthening internal controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with accrual method accounting and monthly financial statements.
• Experience managing multiple entities or accounts simultaneously.
• 6–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in community association management, property management, or real estate accounting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, thoroughness, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payables and receivables for managed communities, including vendor payments, owner billing, and collections in line with governing documents.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting reports, managing a consistent month-end close that aligns with budgets and management agreements.
• Ensure adherence to applicable state regulations, maintain strong internal controls to safeguard funds, and support audits and tax preparation.
• Serve as a key financial resource for property managers, association boards, auditors, and company leadership.
• Train and mentor accounting staff and help enhance financial processes, policies, and systems.
