Job summary

R&P Technologies seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, and payroll, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate monthly/year-end closes.

You will partner across departments to provide financial insights, manage controls, and support government contracting requirements. A senior candidate with strong leadership and communication skills will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including 3+ years in government contracting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and DCAA compliance.
• Experience managing government contracts (FFP, CPFF, T&M).
• Experience with indirect rate modeling and incurred cost submissions.
• ERP familiarity; Unanet preferred.
• Advanced Excel and data visualization skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
• Oversee monthly close and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain chart of accounts and ensure proper coding.
• Collaborate with department leaders for financial accuracy and alignment.
• Analyze variances and provide management insights.
• Oversee payroll processing, taxes, and deductions.
• Develop and monitor internal controls; ensure GAAP and DCAA compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Support government reporting and indirect rate submissions.
