Job summary

X Technologies in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with government contracting regulations. You will oversee a team, manage the general ledger, and drive financial insight for leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in government contracting, with strong FAR/GAAP/DCAA knowledge and proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a government contracting environment.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, GAAP, and DCAA compliance requirements.
• Experience with job cost accounting and indirect rate structures.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel, and demonstrated leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll coordination to ensure controls and compliance.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies and internal controls.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with project managers, contracts, HR, and operations.
