Job summary

Ascentek in Golden Valley, MN, seeks an Accounting Lead to drive GAAP-compliant close, data management, and internal controls for a growing portfolio. You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and bank covenants while coordinating with auditors and tax partners.

Lead a small team including an Accountant and a Financial Analyst; implement process improvements, develop budgets and forecasts, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of related accounting experience, 2+ years in management.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with employees, customers and vendors.
• Experience with MRI Commercial Real Estate, McLeod TMS and QuickBooks Online.
• Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, depreciation and amortization.
• Ensure records align with company policy and GAAP.
• Support monthly close and year-end closings; review balances.
• Collaborate with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and business reviews.
• Lead process improvements to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate annual tax returns and external audits with partners.
• Lead internal EOS meetings and track results.
• Integrate financials with other enterprise companies.
• Maintain data security and regulatory compliance.
