Job summary

Ascentek is seeking an Accounting Lead in Minnesota to drive accurate financial close and GAAP-compliant reporting. You will manage key accounting functions, prepare reports for owners and leaders, and implement improvements to boost efficiency.

The role includes supervising one Accountant and one Financial Analyst, and collaborating on budgets and forecasts. You will leverage ERP/Excel tools and coordinate with auditors, while maintaining data security and driving continuous improvement across

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
5+ years of related experience, 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in commercial real estate, manufacturing, or distribution preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, depreciation and amortization.
Ensure records are maintained accurately and in accordance with policy and GAAP.
Lead monthly and year-end closings; review balances and reconcile accounts.
Collaborate with leadership on budgets, forecasts and annual reviews.
Drive process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Own lease accounting under ASC 842 and manage banking covenant reporting.
Coordinate annual tax returns and external audits with partners.
Work with auditors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Lead EOS L10 meetings and track results.
Integrate financials with broader enterprise companies and safeguard data security.
