Senior Accounting Manager, Corporate Finance (Remote Role – US Markets)

Company Overview

We are a dynamic, national developer of large-scale solar + storage power projects in the U.S., backed by a major global solar IPP. Our team of development, power markets, engineering, and finance experts is managing a pipeline of over 8 GW of solar and storage projects across 24 US states, focusing on markets such as MISO, PJM, and SPP, with plans to expand into the Pacific NW and other bilateral markets.

Job Description

We seek a proactive and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations of our US entities, manage our US accounting service provider, and support strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Finance and dotted-line to the parent company's Finance department, this role involves strategic planning, financial management, forecasting, process improvements, and support for M&A, due diligence, and audits.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping and US accounting procedures compliance; oversee accounting software.
  • Manage AP/AR flows, review invoices and agreements for accuracy.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, accounting firms, and parent company for reporting and compliance.
  • Resolve accounting issues and support US Group matters (funding, agreements).
  • Administer bank accounts and coordinate with bank and cash management teams.
  • Support M&A transactions related to tax and invoicing, liaising with stakeholders.
Budgeting & Controlling
  • Assist in budgeting, monitor cash expenditures, and forecast needs.
  • Lead annual OPEX and DEVEX budget reviews, perform financial analyses, and report to stakeholders.
  • Monitor cash positions and coordinate capital drawdowns.
Corporate Operations
  • Ensure timely filing of corporate documents for projects.
  • Maintain LLC documents and liaise with legal and parent company teams.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and manage related notifications.
Administrative Support
  • Prepare and notarize official documents as needed.
  • Support HR, events, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; CPA preferred.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
  • Experience managing external accounting and tax providers, audits.
  • Financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting experience.
  • Experience with M&A, due diligence is a plus.
  • Industry background in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Real Estate preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, MS Dynamics 365/Business Central, Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
