We are a dynamic, national developer of large-scale solar + storage power projects in the U.S., backed by a major global solar IPP. Our fast-growing team of development, power markets, engineering, and finance experts is steering a pipeline of over 8 GW of solar and storage projects spanning 24 US states. Our major markets are MISO, PJM, and SPP, with plans to expand into the Pacific NW region and other bilateral markets next year.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee our US entities' financial operations, manage our US accounting service provider, and support key business activities. This role reports to the Senior Director of Finance and has a dotted-line to our parent company’s Finance department. Responsibilities include strategic planning, financial management, forecasting, process improvement, and supporting M&A, due diligence, and audits.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain accurate books, ensure US accounting procedures are followed, and manage accounting software.
  • Oversee AP/AR flows, review invoices and agreements for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with tax authorities, accounting firms, and parent company staff for reporting.
  • Resolve accounting issues, support funding and agreement matters at the Inc. level.
  • Manage bank accounts and liaise with bank and cash management teams.
  • Support M&A transactions related to tax and invoicing, liaising with stakeholders.
Budgeting & Controlling
  • Assist with budgeting, monitor cash expenditures, and forecast needs.
  • Lead annual OPEX and DEVEX budget reviews, perform financial analysis.
  • Monitor cash positions, coordinate capital drawdowns, and report to stakeholders.
Corporate Operations
  • Ensure timely filing of corporate documents and maintain LLC records.
  • Coordinate with legal and third-party vendors on filings and contracts.
Administrative Support
  • Notarize and prepare official documents as needed.
  • Assist in HR and event-related administrative tasks.
Other Duties
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, not limited to listed responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related; CPA preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
  • Experience managing external accounting/tax providers and audits.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting.
  • Experience with M&A, due diligence is a plus.
  • Industry background in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Real Estate preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, MS Dynamics 365/Business Central advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
