Senior Accounting Manager, Corporate Finance (Remote Role – US Markets)

Location: Washington DC, Miami, West Palm Beach, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston areas

We are a dynamic, national developer of large-scale solar + storage power projects in the U.S., backed by a major global solar IPP. Our fast-growing team of development, power markets, engineering, and finance experts is managing a pipeline of over 8 GW of solar and storage projects across 24 US states. Our primary markets include MISO, PJM, and SPP, with plans to expand into the Pacific NW and other bilateral markets next year.

Job Description:

Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our US team. The role involves overseeing financial operations of US entities, managing our US accounting service provider, and supporting key business activities. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Finance, with a dotted-line to the parent company's Finance department. Responsibilities include strategic and operational tasks such as planning, financial management, forecasting, process improvement, and support for M&A, due diligence, and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate financial records, ensure US accounting procedures are followed, and manage accounting/bookkeeping software.
2. Oversee all AP/AR flows, review invoices and Master Service Agreements for accuracy.
3. Coordinate with tax authorities, corporate filing offices, accounting firms, and parent company staff for reporting and compliance.
4. Resolve accounting issues and assist with funding, agreements, and other matters at the Inc. level.
5. Manage bank accounts and liaise with bank personnel and ParentCo’s Cash Management division.
6. Support M&A transactions related to tax and invoicing, liaising with stakeholders to resolve tax issues and review invoices.

Budgeting & Controlling:

1. Assist in budgeting, cash expenditure tracking, and forecasting.
2. Lead annual OPEX and DEVEX budget reviews, perform capital/cash analysis, and report to stakeholders.
3. Monitor cash needs and report cash positions, coordinating with HQ for capital drawdowns.

Corporate Operations:

1. Ensure timely filing of corporate documents, including LLC formation and compliance certificates.
2. Maintain LLC documents, coordinate with legal advisors, and liaise with ParentCo for organizational reporting.
3. Negotiate terms with vendors and manage contract renewals and vendor relationships.

Administrative Support:

1. Prepare notarized company documents and support administrative tasks related to HR and events.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in finance management or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
• Experience managing third-party accounting and tax service providers, coordinating audits.
• Proven skills in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Experience with M&A activities and due diligence is a plus.
• Background in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Real Estate industries is preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks, MS Dynamics 365/Business Central is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
