Senior Accounting Manager, Corporate Finance (Remote Role – US Markets)

Join us at ib vogt GmbH as a Senior Accounting Manager, Corporate Finance for a remote role serving US markets.

Company Overview

We are a dynamic developer of large-scale solar and storage power projects in the U.S., backed by a major global solar IPP. Our team is expanding rapidly, managing over 8 GW of projects across 24 states, with major markets including MISO, PJM, and SPP, and plans to expand into the Pacific NW and other markets.

Job Description

We seek a seasoned Senior Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations of our US entities, manage relationships with our US accounting service provider, and support various business activities. This role reports to the Senior Director of Finance and involves strategic and operational responsibilities including planning, financial management, forecasting, process improvement, and support for M&A, due diligence, and audits.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain accurate books and ensure US accounting procedures are followed; manage accounting software.
  • Oversee AP/AR payments, review invoices and agreements for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with tax authorities, accounting firms, and parent company staff for reporting and compliance.
  • Address accounting issues related to the US group, including funding and agreements.
  • Manage company bank accounts and liaise with bank personnel and cash management teams.
  • Support M&A transactions related to tax and invoicing, liaising with stakeholders.
Budgeting & Controlling
  • Assist in budgeting, monitor cash expenditures, and forecast cash needs.
  • Lead annual budget reviews for OPEX and DEVEX, perform capital/cash analysis, and report figures to stakeholders.
  • Manage cash capital drawdowns from HQ and monitor cash positions.
Corporate Operations
  • Ensure timely filing of corporate documents, maintain LLC documents, and liaise with legal and parent company teams.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and keep department heads informed.
Administrative Support
  • Prepare and notarize official documents as needed.
  • Support HR and event management tasks as required.
Additional Duties

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; CPA preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
  • Experience managing third-party accounting/tax providers and external audits.
  • Financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.
  • Experience with M&A, due diligence is a plus.
  • Background in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Real Estate industries is preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, MS Dynamics 365/Business Central is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
