Job summary

Remtec, Inc. in Canton, MA is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will drive month-end close, maintain internal controls, and support budgeting while partnering with internal teams to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or operational accounting experience is a plus.
• CPA or advanced degree is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management.
• Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, banking partners, and other outside providers.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain accounting systems and financial data integrity.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to management.
• Provide backup support for payroll processing when needed.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, as applicable.
• Support special projects and other financial initiatives.
