Job summary

Vaco by Highspring seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting, general ledger, and technical accounting compliance. This hands-on leader will automate workflows, review AI-generated outputs, and guide the team toward audit readiness and robust internal controls.

The role emphasizes data analytics, cross-functional collaboration with FP&A and business leaders, and building dashboards in BI tools while maintaining NetSuite as the system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred/active candidate.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environment; exposure to SOX/audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with schedules and commentary.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and reporting standards.
• Manage consolidation across entities, intercompany eliminations, currency translation.
• Support reporting packages for exec leadership, board, lenders, and investors.
• Own month-end/quarter-end/year-end close; shorten close cycle and drive accuracy.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments; maintain COA and policy docs.
• Develop budgets/forecasts with FP&A; monitor variances and explain them clearly.
• Design and maintain internal controls; build SOX-aligned framework and audit readiness.
• Coordinate external audits; prepare PBC schedules and respond to inquiries.
• Lead data analysis, BI reporting in Power BI/Tableau/Looker; supervise team.
