AtlasAdvancement, Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage the full close, ensure GAAP compliance, and oversee government contracting finance. You will drive process improvements, ERP initiatives, and reporting for executive leadership and investors.

The role emphasizes ownership of the accounting function, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and strategic contribution to budgets and forecasting in a growing SaaS environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility for the close.
• B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred, including subscription revenue, ARR, and deferred revenue.
• Experience with accounting in a government contracting environment, including DCAA compliance, indirect rates, or incurred cost submissions.
• Experience building or significantly improving accounting processes and systems at a small or growing company, or meaningful involvement in an ERP implementation.
• Comfortable independently managing the accounting function while balancing day-to-day execution with strategic responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead ERP selection and implementation to meet accounting and compliance requirements.

• Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to support strategic planning.
• Review contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition.
• Support financial process and systems integration related to acquisitions.
• Help prepare financial information for board and investor reporting.

Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and monthly and annual close.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and other reporting for the CFO, executive team, board, and investors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition across contract types.
• Oversee accounting for government contracts, including DCAA-related compliance, indirect rates, incurred cost submissions, billing, and project-level reporting.

Process & Systems Build-Out

• Oversee the transition from a shared-services accounting model to an independently managed finance and accounting function.
• Develop and document accounting processes and controls for AR, AP, payroll, close activities, and approval workflows.
• Coordinate integration of existing business and operational systems with financial reporting processes.
• Create reporting and reconciliation tools to support accurate financial closes during systems changes.
• Lead ERP selection and implementation to meet accounting and compliance requirements.

Audit & Compliance

• Act as the primary contact for external auditors and maintain audit readiness.
• Maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and cash management practices.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Partner with the CFO on budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to support strategic planning.

Strategic Contribution

• Review contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition.
• Support financial process and systems integration related to acquisitions.
• Help prepare financial information for board and investor reporting.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility for the close.
• B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred, including experience with subscription revenue, ARR, and deferred revenue.
• Experience with accounting in a government contracting environment, including DCAA compliance, indirect rates, or incurred cost submissions.
• Experience building or significantly improving accounting processes and systems at a small or growing company, or meaningful involvement in an ERP implementation.
• Comfortable developing accounting workflows and processes rather than only working within established ones.
• Comfortable independently managing the accounting function while balancing day-to-day execution with strategic responsibilities.
• Strong ownership mentality and ability to work proactively.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint is required. Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and QuickBooks Online is also welcome.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of producing timely, accurate financials.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, professional approach with executives, auditors, contracting officers, and cross-functional partners.
