This role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting operations within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, supporting both finance and property management teams.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing and reviewing financial statements, CAM reconciliations, tax documents, and audit-ready reporting packages.
2. Maintaining the general ledger, booking accruals, and ensuring timely, accurate reporting across multiple entities.
3. Reviewing lease agreements and amendments, ensuring proper data entry into the accounting system.
4. Collaborating with vendors, tenants, and internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support property operations.
5. Managing and mentoring a junior property accountant to enhance team efficiency and accountability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• 3-5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in real estate or property management, with 5-10+ years overall.
• Solid understanding of CAM reconciliations, lease accounting, accruals, and general ledger processes.
• Experience with MRI or similar property management software is a strong plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
• Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
• People skills to build strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and colleagues.

Additional Information:
