POSITION SUMMARY

Senior Accounting Manager will have a deep expertise in financial reporting, inventory accounting, and commercial finance operations related to product sales, rebates, and dealer programs. This role will ensure compliance with local accounting standards and corporate policies, and support business growth through accurate and timely financial insights.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, inventory, and cost accounting to the tire-specific distribution.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial statements are prepared in alignment with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and analyses to support business decision-making.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Aligned with the internal control process, coordinate and validate dealer rebate programs, sales incentives, and promotional allowances.
• Ensure accurate recording of customer-related transactions, including bulk orders, returns, credit memos, and volume-based discounts.
• Manage tax compliance and filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other local statutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Lead the internal control (K-Sox) process liaison with global HQ.
• Improve accounting workflows and systems to support business scalability (e.g., automation, ERP enhancements.)
• Lead and mentor the accounting team; provide training and performance management.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Logistics departments to ensure alignment of financial reporting with business operations.
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team culture.

SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS

Sr. Accounting Manager uses various soft skills and industry knowledge of best practices to maintain and improve the stages of the accounting process.

Those skills often include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in the retail, wholesale, or automotive parts distribution industry (Tire industry experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar); advanced Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of local tax regulations and financial compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Superior analysis skills and detail-oriented
• Enthusiasm for solving problems and working collaboratively
• Work experience with mid-size to large companies
• Independent/Self-starter with high attention to detail

Preferred:

• Experience working in a multinational company or within a regional finance team.
• Background in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) or business partnering is advantageous.
