Job summary

Included Health is seeking a Sr. Manager, Accounting in San Francisco to lead a hands-on, high-impact finance team. You will oversee equity, intangibles, leases, fixed assets, and intercompany activity while coordinating with FP&A, Tax, and Audit.

This role requires CPA and 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including public company exposure, with a strong M&A technical focus. You will drive close processes, accounting memos, and system improvements in a fast-growth environment,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Big 4 experience and CPA strongly preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in management.
• Experience with Workday/Looker/Microsoft Suite/GSuite or other ERP.
• Public company environment experience, including IPO readiness.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, especially in mergers & acquisitions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly allocations and software capitalization processes with accuracy and policy compliance.
• Review monthly close for trial balance and financial statements; adjust entries as needed.
• Act as SME on equity accounting; partner on 409A valuations and stock-based comp.
• Manage technical accounting for intangibles, goodwill, leases, and fixed assets.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and eliminations across entities.
• Lead transition of legacy systems during M&A integrations and due diligence.
• Prepare commentary with FP&A; support Audit Committee materials and investor questions.
• Partner with tax on income tax data and sales tax compliance; file state/local taxes.
• Serve as accounting team's Workday system expert; drive process improvements.
