Job summary

Origence, a fintech leader in lending solutions, seeks a senior accounting leader to oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and controls. You will guide FP&A, manage a cross-functional team, and ensure GAAP compliance.

This role focuses on accounting operations, technical accounting, and procurement oversight within an in-office/hybrid environment in California. Strong CPA and public accounting background are valued.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressive accounting experience across financial close, general ledger, accounting operations, and technical accounting.
• Minimum of three years public accounting experience; experience with a national or regional firm preferred.
• Experience researching U.S. GAAP and preparing technical accounting memoranda for complex transactions or new standards.
• Experience improving accounting processes, controls, reconciliations, and ERP-enabled workflows.
• Experience leading a multifunctional team with accounting professionals and functional leaders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor month-end and quarter-end close timelines and ensure timely deliverables.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and capitalization analyses.
• Oversee FP&A collaboration for financial statements and variance analyses.
• Monitor balances and resolve unusual transactions promptly.
• Evaluate contracts for expense recognition and capitalization timing.
• Lead a team spanning accounting, AP, and procurement.
