Job summary

Bristol Alliance of Companies is seeking an Accounting Controller to oversee payroll, AP/AR, GL, fixed assets, cash management, tax compliance, job costing, and indirect cost rates. This senior role reports to the Sr Director of Finance and Accounting and drives accuracy, timeliness, and strategic financial direction.

Preferred location is Anchorage, AK, with offices in several states; remote work will be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 5+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of government contracting experience; construction preferred.
• CPA, CMA, or CFMA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all core accounting functions.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and timeliness of financial records.
• Oversee cash management and banking systems.
• Lead annual budget preparation and management.
• Support job costing, rate development, and government contracting.
• Lead annual financial audit preparation and coordination.
