Qualifications

• 5+ years of controls, audit, accounting, or finance experience.
• 7+ years of controls, audit, accounting, or finance experience (preferred).
• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Excel required.
• High level of experience with Netsuite or comparable accounting system preferred.
• Experience within the financial services industry preferred, including familiarity with loan accounting standards and procedures.
• Experience with Oracle and/or NetSuite accounting systems.
• Experienced data analyst with the ability to apply data and analytics (D&A) tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to extract, process, and interpret complex accounting and financial data sets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates day-to-day general accounting activities to ensure timely US GAAP financial statements.
• Manages monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entry process during close.
• Ensures timely US GAAP work papers and schedules for audits.
• Oversees balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Reviews accounting reports for internal and external audiences.
• Collaborates with auditors and financial professionals to align practices with organizational goals.
• Leads complex accounting calculations in Excel and Netsuite.
• Oversees system upgrades, process improvements, and new product reporting initiatives.
• Maintains investment accounting policies and control processes.
• Monitors team performance and provides feedback and development opportunities.
