Job summary

The Accountant II at Nuveen supports the Green Capital sustainable commercial real estate lending business by ensuring timely and accurate financial record keeping, journal entries and close processes. You will prepare financial statements and assist in consolidations under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, period-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, while leveraging Netsuite and Salesforce knowledge to improve data accuracy

Qualifications

• 2+ years accounting experience.
• Experience with subsidiary consolidations and loan accounting.
• Familiarity with Netsuite and Salesforce.
• Strong Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with regulations.
• Prepares balance sheet and P&L statements and consolidated financial statements.
• Performs monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes.
• Maintains statements, GL accounts, cost/revenue reports, reconciliations.
• Verifies invoices and records; details financial transactions.
• Researches impacts of new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
