Job summary

Nuveen, a global investment manager, is seeking an Accountant II to support the Green Capital sustainable real estate lending business. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements, contributing to monthly closes under moderate supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years accounting experience
• 3+ years accounting experience preferred
• Experience using Netsuite ledger and Salesforce
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Experience working with subsidiary consolidations
• Experience in loan accounting and accounting research
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other reports.
• Performs monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes.
• Maintains accounting statements, reports, GL accounts, cost revenue reports, and reconciliations.
• Verifies accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents.
• Researches the impacts of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Loan accounting; consolidation of subsidiaries and data reconciliation across multiple entities.
• Quarterly financial reporting of accounting data to Nuveen LLC.
