Job summary

Arizona Public Service Company is seeking a senior financial professional to join our accounting team. The role focuses on preparing complex financial reports, owner billings and rate-case analyses, while supporting regulatory strategies and forecasting initiatives.

The position requires a BS in accounting or finance with five years of relevant experience, including knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements. Hybrid work model; Arizona residency preferred for in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree in accounting, finance, or related field plus five years of experience (2 years in electric-utility preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of accounting theory (GAAP), and familiarity with FERC and ACC requirements.
• Strong analytical, research and problem solving skills; ability to communicate with Executive management.
• Broad business perspective and interpersonal/consulting skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of financial reports, including participant billings and rate case studies.
• Reconcile complex accounts and maintain financial reporting systems.
• Conduct economic studies to evaluate business issues and proposals.
• Model financial activity to forecast corporate targets and plans.
• Support regulatory and competitive analysis and findings.
• Contribute to policy development and compliance with regulations.
