Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking a senior accounting professional to deliver complex financial reporting and analyses. You will reconcile accounts, prepare reports, and model forecasts to support regulatory strategies and corporate decisions.

The role requires a BS in accounting or finance with 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in a utility environment, and strong GAAP and regulatory knowledge. Hybrid work arrangement and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• BS degree in accounting or finance, plus five years of experience or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP, FERC and ACC requirements.
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate with Executive management.
• Broad business perspective and strong interpersonal, communication and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of accurate and timely financial reports and analyses.
• Analyzes and reconciles accounts and reports; maintains financial reporting systems.
• Conducts economic studies to evaluate business proposals and alternatives.
• Models financial activity to produce targets and forecasts.
• Supports regulatory and competitive strategies, analysis and findings.
• Contributes to development of department policies and procedures.
