Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a seasoned professional to perform invoicing, reconciliation, and energy accounting for transmission and billing of energy and transmission services in line with FERC tariffs.

The role requires strong Excel, data analysis, and collaboration skills, with hybrid work in Arizona. You will validate loads, prepare technical and financial reports, and coordinate with internal teams and market participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years experience in accounting reconciliation, energy commodity billing, portfolio modeling, energy trading, data analysis, financial reporting.
• Advanced degree in analytics may substitute two of the five years of experience.
• Experience in energy accounting processes, commodity billing, data analysis, energy markets, financial reporting, auditing techniques or GAAP.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues using problem solving, collaboration and data analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing, energy, and transmission data for accuracy and reliability.
• Perform invoicing from creation to GL posting and collections.
• Gather and reconcile commodity data from multiple sources to identify errors and trends.
• Monitor pricing indexes and update forward curves for valuation of the financial portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
