Job summary

athenahealth's Corporate Accounting team seeks a Senior Accounting Associate to support month-end close, financial reporting, audit, tax, and process improvements. Based in Boston, you will partner with Finance, FP&A, and Tax to ensure accurate reporting and strong controls.

You will assist with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, variance explanations, and external reporting, while leveraging Oracle GL and AI-enabled tools to streamline processes and maintain SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical abilities are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
• Draft explanations for variances and assist in month-end reporting packages.
• Ensure internal controls align with SOX and assist with external reporting.
