Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting and management.
• Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
• Experience with audit preparation and document retention requirements.
• 5+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Ability to improve department controls, systems, and procedures.
• MS Excel (pivot tables, linking, charting) proficient.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close preparations and forecast/budget comparisons.
• Maintain financial records, participate in reconciliations and audits.
• Manage daily accounting department activities and ensure timely reporting.
• Oversee payroll processing and multi-state tax filings and UI filings.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures; manage vendor contracts and renewals.
