Job summary

NOW CFO is expanding its Phoenix team and seeks an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to strengthen client accounting operations, from GAAP reporting to full cycle leadership. You will partner with diverse clients across the Phoenix metro, delivering accurate statements and proactive controls.

Role requires CPA- track or active preferred, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, and strong communication with client leadership. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Accounting Manager level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting.
• Full cycle accounting experience, including month-end close ownership.
• Excellent communication skills and a client service mindset.
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
• Willingness to commute to different client sites in the Phoenix metro area.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes for client engagements.
• Oversee and manage full cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations).
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting.
• Supervise and mentor client accounting teams.
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Serve as a trusted accounting partner to client leadership.

Our Consultants are full-time W-2 employees. You’ll work with a variety of clients across industries, get exposure to different systems and business models, and never get stuck in the routine of a single seat.

About the Role
