Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a senior leader in our Accounting Advisory practice to partner with clients through complex financial events, including M&A transactions, accounting transformations, and leadership transitions. You will blend strategic insight with hands-on execution to deliver measurable impact and guide management teams toward sound financial decisions.

You’ll lead engagement teams, influence capital strategies, and help build a durable advisory practice while advancing your career

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Demonstrated track record in practice development and professional networking.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in one or more of: public accounting audit (Manager+), industry accounting/external reporting, or technical accounting consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead transaction accounting across mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and management buyouts with decision-ready analysis.
• Prepare and review sophisticated financial analyses for acquisitions, financing, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and challenge financial forecasts and translate operations into forward-looking models.
• Assess quality of earnings for OBS and support reliable financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting transformation engagements, improve processes, risk mitigation, and staffing structures.
• Engage with C-suite executives in on-site client meetings to gather insights and inform analysis.
• Provide leadership in pursuit, coaching, and project management to deliver high-quality work.
