Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a candidate pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance to support transaction-oriented accounting and reporting for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and management buyouts.

You will participate in client meetings, prepare detailed financial analyses, and help develop financial reports to evaluate historical earnings and assets to be acquired. Travel locally and nationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
• Detail-oriented with problem solving, communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance for mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and management buyouts.
• Prepare detailed financial analysis to assist clients in evaluating acquisition decisions.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management to acquire and assess important information for financial analysis.
• Assist with the development and review of financial reports to determine the quality of historical earnings and assets and liabilities to be acquired.
• Assist in preparing proposals and engagement letters.
