Job summary

Trustly seeks a Senior Accountant to own general ledger accounting and US GAAP reporting for Americas entities. This hands-on role requires close ownership from month-end to year-end and collaboration with auditors and cross-functional finance teams.

Maintain the GL, support external audits, ensure compliance and drive process improvements within a fast-paced, international finance environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years progressive accounting experience in industry setting, fintech/payments or financial services ideal.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge with hands-on close ownership.
• Experience with IFRS is a plus for global reporting requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience supporting external audits and preparing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Own month end and year end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure transactions align with US GAAP.
• Prepare or review financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and respond to requests.
• Ensure SOX/compliance and strengthen internal controls.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, FP&A and other finance teams.
