Job summary

AppLovin is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our US accounting team in Palo Alto. You’ll own key parts of the monthly close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help build scalable processes to support growth.

This high-visibility role offers exposure to the broader finance organization. You’ll perform month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities, reconciliations, and cross-functional accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience; fast-paced tech company background a plus.
• Accounting or finance degree preferred.
• Strong foundation in US GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in a major ERP system; NetSuite experience a bonus.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets.
• Experience coordinating with US auditors and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accounts are properly supported on a timely basis.
• Support accounting and reporting activities across leases, intangibles, corporate accounting, and other general accounting functions.
• Prepare and review financial schedules for management reporting and external audit support.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the close.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Legal, and business partners to ensure completeness of accounting.
• Support US external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
• Assist with technical accounting research and documentation as needed.
