Job summary

ASC Engineered Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide financial oversight across Supply Chain Accounting, including inventory valuation, variances, freight costs, and reserves. You will drive month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and continuous improvement for U.S.

and Canadian operations. The role requires collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement, strong Excel/ERP skills, and experience with AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Minimum 35 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment.
• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, cost absorption, or purchase price variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems (M3, D365, Oracle HFM/FCC or similar) and reporting/analytics tools (Power BI or similar).
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, Copilot or similar).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Month-End Close & Journal Entries with proper documentation.
• Reconcile U.S. and Canadian balance sheets and resolve items.
• Validate vendor rebate agreements and rebate accruals.
• Assist with audits and borrowing base requests.
• Analyze in-transit inventory balances and resolve uncleared items.
• Monitor cost variances and support standard cost maintenance.
• Lead process improvements to shorten close cycles and improve reporting.
