Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation in Oak Brook, IL is seeking a Senior Accountant, Supply Chain Accounting to provide financial oversight of inventory valuation, purchase price variances, freight costs and inventory reserves, while supporting month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.

The role partners with Supply Chain, Operations and Procurement in a fast-paced environment, driving process improvements and accurate reporting across U.S. and Canadian operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain.
• Hands-on experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, cost absorption, or purchase price variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems (M3, D365, Oracle HFM/FCC or similar) and reporting/Analytics tools (Power BI).
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, Copilot or similar).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close & Journal Entries: Execute month-end close, prepare and post journal entries with documentation, complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Inventory and Freight Accounting: Analyze in-transit inventory, monitor variances, support cost updates, review inventory reserves, manage PMR/PPV activity, monitor unbilled shipments.
• Process Improvement & Business Partnering: Collaborate with Operations, FP&A, Corporate Accounting and Logistics to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
