Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP. Responsibilities include cost accounting, inventory valuation, intercompany transactions, and close processes across Finance, Freight, and Costing teams.

Collaboration with Operations, Sales, and Finance is key to improving efficiency and financial performance. The role manages journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, while ensuring proper controls and ERP support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP ERP system.
• Strong understanding of standard cost, manufacturing variances and cost analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, LOOKUPs, etc.).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Foreign currency exposure – EURO, USD conversions.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Finance Department: Analyze and prepare intercompany transactions, reconcile intercompany AR/AP balances; Review and reconcile cost allocations; Prepare journal entries related to inventory and finance activities; Reconcile inventory and general ledger accounts; Monitor inventory reserves, obsolescence, and slow-moving inventory; Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts; Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; Assist with timely financial reporting and analysis; Support ERP implementations and process improvements.
