Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Financial Reporting team at its Arlington headquarters. You will prepare financial statements under U.S. GAAP, coordinate SEC filings, and drive process improvements across global units in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and familiarity with SAP BPC, Workiva Wdesk, and Power BI. This role offers growth and cross-border exposure.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of annual/quarterly financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) and disclosures for 100+ business units.
• Support implementation of process improvements and system reporting upgrades.
• Collaborate with Global teams and stakeholders for accurate reporting.
