Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced accountant to handle core accounting duties in a fast-paced information service company. You will ensure data integrity, prepare journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements, and meet month-end close deadlines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in accounting, has 5+ years in corporate/public accounting, GAAP proficiency, and SAP experience; CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• CPA desirable.
• 5+ years’ experience in corporate or public accounting environment.
• Demonstrated experience of GAAP.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements and ensure deadlines are met under a tight month-end close schedule.
• Develop and maintain internal and external reports and queries and verify reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze large quantities of data using Excel to research and draw conclusions from financial data.
• Identify discrepancies in financial data or calculations and recommend solutions.
• Manage accrual process for various business units and review accruals for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with external audits and internal controls assessment.
