Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst in Indianapolis to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparing trial balances and disclosure checklists. You will work with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate U.S. GAAP reporting and SEC filings.

You will expand your technical accounting knowledge, participate in regulator filings, and contribute to process improvements and SOX control activities within AES and its affiliates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Knowledge of financial reporting principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication, cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit financial reporting deliverables during monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Prepare external filings required by regulatory requirements and disclosures.
• Develop and improve financial reporting procedures, metrics, and processes.
• Support internal controls and SOX compliance in reporting.
