Job summary

Par Pacific seeks a Sr. Accountant to join our renewable energy joint venture accounting team. The role supports financial reporting, profitability analysis, and management reporting across multiple regions.

You will work with Accounting, Commercial and Treasury teams, gaining exposure to a broad set of assets and markets while leveraging SAP and advanced Excel for financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• CPA preferred but not required for all candidates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly financial statements under US GAAP, including cash flow statements.
• Analyze monthly, quarterly and annual results: GM, EBITDA, capex, OPEX, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Lead renewable inventory accounting, including FIFO rolls and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with other teams on purchases, sales and settlements for proper balance sheet presentation.
• Prepare eliminations for consolidation and assist with external inquiries.
