Job summary

Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Accountant – Renewables to drive accounting and financial reporting for the renewable joint venture.

You will work with Commercial, Treasury, and Financial Reporting teams across multi-state operations (TX, WY, MT, WA, HI) and gain exposure to SAP-driven processes and evolving accounting challenges. The role emphasizes accurate financial reporting, margin analysis, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure GAAP compliance and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar required.
• CPA preferred
• Minimum six (6) years of accounting experience in private industry and/or public accounting; downstream experience preferred
• SAP experience preferred (MM/FI/CO modules)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with advanced functions
• GAAP knowledge and ability to apply to the corporation's accounting needs

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly statutory reporting financial statements under U.S. GAAP, including cash flows and entity reporting.
• Analyze monthly/quarterly/annual results: margins, EBITDA, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Lead renewable inventory accounting: costing, FIFO roll forwards, reconciliations.
• Review purchases, sales, settlements; assess title transfer and balance sheet impact.
• Prepare eliminations for consolidation and month-end close entries.
