Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables is seeking a Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting for renewable energy projects and partnerships. You will manage asset purchases, depreciation, revenue recognition for energy generation, and intercompany activities in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting with 5+ years of experience, GAAP expertise, and strong Excel and ERP proficiency. Competitive compensation, generous PTO, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 5+ years total accounting experience (or 2 years in public accounting with industry exp).
• Experience in financial services with complex entities and investment relationships.
• Understanding of GAAP and management accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Dive into Renewable Energy and Tax Equity accounting.
• Asset Purchase Accounting per GAAP and support asset sales papers.
• Record depreciation for Solar assets and maintain schedules.
• Support CIP accounting and review project costs.
• Account for energy generation revenue and PPA revenue.
• Record accruals per partnership agreements and GAAP.
• Build and update ARO schedules with journal entries.
• Own REC cost and inventory accounting per GAAP.
