Job summary

Vaco by Highspring invites applications for a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting, in a fully remote setting. The role oversees the monthly close, general ledger activity and SEC reporting, reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting and collaborating with the SVP of Accounting.

Candidates typically have 2–3 years of accounting experience and SEC filing familiarity. Salary is competitive with the market; a CPA track is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA license or active CPA track preferred.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with public accounting and a publicly traded company.
• Direct experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/consolidation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Close Management: manage books for designated entities, journal entries, trial balance analysis and close schedules.
• Financial Reporting & SEC Filings: assist in preparing consolidated financial statements, 10-Q/10-K filings, footnotes and disclosures.
• Reconciliations & Cash Flow: maintain balance sheet reconciliations and support cash flow preparation.
• Compliance & Controls: ensure SOX documentation and coordinate with internal and external audits.
• Technical Research & Ad-Hoc Projects: draft accounting memos and support M&A due diligence.
