Job summary

Equip Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to own all accounting aspects for a fast-paced, fully remote startup. You will report to the Controller and help build processes from the ground up while partnering across departments.

The role offers rapid career growth in a mission-driven company backed by major health plans. The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree, CPA, and 5+ years in progressive accounting with GAAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with complex close cycles.
• CPA license.
• Strong proficiency with GAAP.
• Advanced Excel, NetSuite and G Suite.
• Healthcare accounting experience and multi-entity operations beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end and year-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and support financial statements.
• Conduct technical accounting research to support policies and transactions.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance procedures for audit readiness.
• Perform monthly due diligence reporting to validate financial statement fluctuations.
• Support the Controller to complete annual financial statement audits and liaise with external consultants.
• Gather data for external tax professionals for federal, state, and local filings.
• Support reporting and ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Provide accounting support for system implementations and data integrity checks.
• Identify and execute process improvements to increase efficiency using automation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
