Job summary

Roundtrip is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the month-end close, prepare GAAP financial statements, and apply ASC 606 revenue recognition to customer contracts. You will be the main finance contact for health system and payer customers, collaborating with sales and customer success teams on contracts and pricing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on revenue recognition experience under ASC 606, ideally with usage-based, B2B, or services contracts
• Ability to produce accurate GAAP financial statements independently
• Progressive responsibility across accounting roles

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close from start to finish, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules
• Prepare monthly GAAP financial statements with variance commentary for the CEO
• Prepare inputs for board reporting, investor updates, and audit or lender requests
• Maintain and improve a close calendar and checklist for faster closes
• Apply ASC 606 to customer contracts and maintain revenue schedules
• Review new and amended customer contracts for billing and revenue impact
• Own the monthly billing cycle, reconcile usage and contract data, prepare invoices
• Serve as main finance contact for customers, resolving billing questions
• Manage AR aging and collections, with routine follow-up
• Partner with Customer Success and Sales on pricing and terms
• Oversee AP, vendor payments, and employee expense reports
• Ensure automated payroll journal entries are accurate
• Keep QuickBooks coding accurate and consistent
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Coordinate with outside advisors on taxes and 1099 filings
• Strengthen internal controls and documentation
• Improve tools/workflows via automation and AI
