Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or comparable work experience relating to accounting and Excel.
• 5 years’ experience in an accounting department; nonprofit experience preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
• Experience with accounts payable software, preferably Bill.com.
• Experience with CRM database software, preferably Salesforce.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications with advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work with confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Aufgaben

• Manage the semi-monthly payroll process, including uploading hours and status changes.
• Serve as primary contact for Paychex and address staff inquiries.
• Assist the Controller with pension and benefit plans management; HR/payroll system upgrades.
• Manage contractor files, contracts, W‑9s, and 1099s/DE542s.
• Handle accounts payable and grants payable, including Bill.com processing.
• Maintain payable process documentation and implement process improvements.
• Manage chart of accounts in QuickBooks and assist month-end closing.
• Maintain fixed assets accounting, depreciation, and disposals.
• File business property tax and sales/use tax returns.
• Produce monthly budget vs. actual reports and cashflow projections.
• Support annual audit, tax filing, and budget processes.
• Design and implement internal controls and upgrades to accounting systems.
